did look at the briston amp an find an old review here Don´t find them here in germany under 2000 € To much for me cause maximum are 1500 but then i have to wait one month more, cause now only 1000 € are here.

What about the hafler amps ? I mean i hear everywhere that hafler is an really good amp manufacturer. The cheapest are the hafler ta1600. Have to look what the others would cost.

P1000 2 x 50 Watt / 8 Ohm, 2 x 55 Watt / 4 Ohm / UVP 549,00 Euro
P1500 2 x 75 Watt / 8 Ohm, 2 x 85 Watt / 4 Ohm / UVP 579,00 Euro
P3000 2 x 150 Watt / 8 Ohm, 2 x 200 Watt / 4 Ohm / UVP 749,00 Euro
P4000 2 x 200 Watt / 8 Ohm, 2 x 275 Watt / 4 Ohm / UVP 959,00 Euro

Engineer / Producer / Author Thomas Sandmann use hafler amps here and recommend them as i read in an article from him.

Hafler certainly makes nice amps, and at a fair price as well. They really aren't in the same field as Bryston and some of the other high end brands, but great amps none the less and still better than the majority of the built in amps in the active speakers. A hafler P3000 would be a great amp to start with. With Bryston, you may want to consider looking for a used one. They have a 20 year transferable warranty:)

thank you again xstatic.

i don´t know much about amps.

you said hafler amps are better of most build in active monitor amps. But do the actives do not have the advantage, that they have always two amps ( biamped ). One for the tweeter and one for the woofer ? Another often mentioned advantage shall be that they are optimized for only this monitor, so the problem which monitors with which amp is not important then.

I did talk with adam a time ago about the anf10 of them and he told me that they only make sense when i use an very good amp with them, and recommended me to buy their p11 ( wanted to buy them to use with my cheap sherwood av receiver ). So you are right but will an used bryston or a good hafler will make such a difference really ? And for me very important, which differences ?

my room isn´t big. Not ideal for an 8`` woofer or an sub. 3x4 meters. = 12 qm. and i have to use the 4 meter wall, cause have an great table ( 3,5 m ). Another problem is that my only neighbour is my little daughter ( 4 years old ). After 8 / 9 pm i can´t hear loud enough and have to take attention.

I have been extremely happy with the detail and clarity of these speakers. I highly recommend them:

Daedalus Audio

I use them for both home recording as well as PA speakers and they are simply magnificent! However, they are $1,800.00 each, but you get what you pay for..

hey madaudio did you use just the wharfedales at first or did you start off using the sub? reason i ask is how much difference the sub makes for your mixes? i have the wharfedales and theyve made a big difference for my mixes but ive found the low end is still very "iffy".

thanks!
