Hello folks
I'm pretty much a novice trying hard to learn mixing/mastering/recording so please bear with me if this sounds dumb. Right now I'm using a Fostex MR8 for recording and using the flash card to send wav file to my computer. It has worked great all but one time. I had a song where I mixed a piano part to the right channel during the choruses, very quite just to add a sort of atmosphere. You could hear it fine in the phones, you could hear it over the monitors, but when I sent the song to the computer the piano part disapeared ! I burned it to cd anyway and played it over the same system as my monitors use and still no piano. I tried re-recording the part and the same thing happened again.
Anybody know what happened ? Any help would be appreciated.
