I currently use a Zoom H4n and edit with Cubase LE4 on the family computer. It works but yeah i know ...very limited. I'm looking to slowly expand and eventually get my own computer exclusively for editing film and music. Any advice on where to start??
Also looking for suppliers for audio recording computers and components.
Thanks

You don't need any special computer - any current decent PC will work fine.

That would really depend upon how serious you are about recording and what you plan on recording. If you want to use a buttload of virtual instruments, you will be best off building a powerful PC with lots of RAM and a fast processor. If you are just recording mostly audio stuff, you can get good results with a basic dual core PC made for home office. You can upgrade to a better (paid for) version of Cubase if that is what is limiting you.

Newegg is a good resource. Micro Center is where I purchased components for my latest build.

that's what I meant by "current decent PC" :p

I was just supporting your statement buddy. Tongues back at ya!
