I agree 100%.

By the way, taking something personally doesn't mean one doesn't respect the other's opinion.

I disagree when their focus shifts away from their proclamation.

Foxy, you do sometimes come across heavy {note I say 'come across' not are} and that's one disadvantage of communication by writing. We can easilly be misunderstood. Sometimes we so dig our equipment that a criticism of it seems like a personal put down. It may be, it may not be.

I use symbolic language and emoticons to soften the impact. I will start doubling up from now on

Truth be told both yourself and mgjr have both put in great informative posts that may have slight divergences but which should assist the OP in getting to where they want to be.

The UX2 is a good bit of kit. I stated above I was seriously considering it at one stage.

Well to just throw fuel into the fire I ended up getting neither of the above mentioned options. I went with the Allen & Heath Zed-10 Mixing Console with USB recording. I haven't had any problems with latency at all so far and everything seems to be running fine. Plus I can use it for live mixing as well when I buy some powered speakers.
