I'm planning to get one of those behringer headphone amps, and I have a question:
Where should it go? Inside the control room or inside the live room?

live room?

I would set it up in the live room, then you are only running 1 or 2 cables out from the control room into the live room instead of sending every single headphone cable from the unit into the live room. I guess just consider who will be using the headphones and based on that , which place will be more conveniant for your applications.

It's also easier because they can adjust their own volumes, which is less to worry about for you. On that unit I beleive you can plug in an instrument and practice to whatever you're listening to on all 4 channels.
Hell... for the price you could get two and have one in both the live and control room.

I bought one and the only complaint I have is that it's loud! I know.... some of you are saying "then turn it down asshead!!" It's not just volume... there's "something else" in the sound that fatigues your ears after a while.

It could also be the headphones, too. Whichever the case a cheap graphic EQ off ebay or something before the headphone amp would probably allow you to compensate for it.

very good replies guys, thanks a lot... well, here in Brazil they cost something like... $150 bucks... so I'm not planning to get two, at least any time soon... :)
But thanks...

I have another question:
can I use regular headphones (below 100ohms) or only the studio ones (around 600ohms)?
The manual says I shouldn't use nothing below 100s... but if I do, they'll sound different... have anyone tried?
