I am looking for a new guitar neck (gibson flying V style).
Looking on ebay is hit or miss...
anyone know a good place to get replacement guitar necks??

Try Carvin. I think you can order a FV headstock on one of their necks. Very nice, very smooth necks, ebony fingerboards, lots of options not listed on the website.

Good luck!

Try also Stewart MacDonald or Grizzley Mountain. Both sell luthier tools, woods, and parts.

Nope, Italian. Warmoth is French for "add $50".

Did you look at the websites mentioned? The quality difference is HUGE. If you want a plain jane crappy looking neck, feel free to get one of those generic things from one of the other sites. They just make me shudder with ugliness. Those soulmate necks are of considerably higher quality construction, and you choose every aspect of the build.

If I was going to bother with trying to build a guitar, which I'm not (the pros can do that) I'm too busy, I'd never consider one of those off the rack generic necks. The neck is the heart of the feel of the guitar.

And, by the by, they are of absolutly no good if you need a bolt on neck.

I have used the Stew Mac necks, and they are not great, but they are fine.

Warmoth makes a great neck if you need a bolt on. There is no one better, though there are a few who are as good.
