Where is the VST utility??

I just can find this utility that I used to manage all my plugins Dxi and VST.
I remember it has a green icon, maybe I´m a fool asking this but I can find it. Can you tell me the path???. If you know of which utility I´m talking about.

Are you speaking about the Plugin Manager?

Not sure why it says for Ver 2.0. Maybe it was included with Ver 3.0?

I´m not so sure, I remember it scans the whole HD searching for VST and plugins, then you can select those you won´t use anymore, and add new ones. As I said it is a green icon with the word VST in black. The manual says that you can access through Start/Programs/Cakewalk/VST Adapter.

Apparently you are speaking of the VST adapter. You confused me in your first post when you said "manage all my plugins Dxi and VST." The VST adapter would not have anything to do with DXi's.


What the manual says is correct. What is the problem you are having? If you lost the shortcut on your start menu, I am sure you can launch it manually from Windows Explorer. However, I am at work now and don't have access to Sonar to tell you the exact filename and location.

I'll check back later, unless someone beats me to it first.

Sorry about my confusion. You´re right I don´t have a desktop shortcut, never thought how much I will need it. I was trying to find it using the windows explorer without success. I´m at work now, I´ll check later.

OK, the file is called "vstconfig.exe."

On my system it is located in: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Cakewalk VST Adapter 4\
