Where I put the cable!!??!

Hi there! I've got all the equipment to record at home, that mean.. my guitar, my pedal effect, my sound card( m audio firewire), my laptop with my recording program, a mixer, a mic and finally good monitor ( speaker)

My question is, what is the sequence??? I put my guitar in the pedal, then the pedal through sound card, then the sound card through the computer.... then and then... I don't have any idea?!?!!
If someone have an idea, let me know!! ThanKs!

depends on that mixer.... if it's of decent quality you may want to put it inbetween the pedals and the soundcard... think of it as your router for signals... it sends whatever to the computer throught the soundcard and then the soundcard goes back to the mixer which then goes to your amp and monitors.... make sense???

I have a similar chain. I put the mixer right before the sound card for recording, then when it's time to mix and master, it becomes sound card -> mixer -> monitors.
