It becomes a matter of personal preference. Most sax players I know play Selmer, but LeBlanc and Yamaha are also used a lot.
There are several ways to determine which you prefer. The first of which is to play the various saxes and decide from that. That's also pretty much the only way to do it.
You can however ask around to sax players whose sound you like, or sax teachers at the local college.
Likewise, if there is a sax player whose albums you admire and whose sound you like, you could contact that person and find out what they play.
