where does everyone order their comps off of? what site(s) are you looking at?

I've usually done cyberpowerpc.com , but I really can't tell if anything is really quiet or not...
but their prices are amazing.

hmmm well it's more the components you get than who builds it that will make yoru computer quiet. up here in the great white north i like to use:
www.ncix.com
www.tigerdirect.com
www.sneakerscomputers.com (local)

a good case is probably your best shot at a quiet unit. i have an antec sonata and it's pretty dang quiet. also having unnecessary fans will cause unwanted noise as well. if you can't avoid a loud computer, try building a case for it. i'm building a case for my computers and rack gear right now made of heavy OSB and lexon window... it will be heavy but quiet.

The cheapest solution to noisy computers i've found, bar NONE, is to just get keyboard, mouse and video extension cables and put the case in another room. Why is telling a kid to go to their room more effective in reducing the noise than telling them to be quiet? ;)

There is some good Info here about how to quiet a computer.
I use the flower heat sink and a slow speed fan. The fan comes with a rheostat so if you can monitor your internal temperature it is possible that you could shut the fan off entirely.
I'm in the states, but it was easy to order from the UK.
You have to know how to install a heat sink properly, and you have to have room in your computer case. The heat sink is 4 or 5 inches tall. Pretty, too. I'm kind of sorry it's hidden in the case. :)
