the ones listed on samash are all new...need to try to save some money cause I just spent a ton building a "supercomputer"

I don't know where you're located, but Sammy's in NYC (and I'm pretty sure in other locations) don't list their used or demo equipment. Walk into any Sammy's or other music equipment store and inquire about their used equipment.
BTW, Sammys NYC has a used MPC on sale now for 900.00

Yes you could check sam ash, but you may not get all the XL version, just the 2000 in which you wont have the 8 output expansion or smpte card or effect chip or 32 meg for sampling
just a few things to look for if purchasing one.
Also check "LOOTUSA.COM" you will definately find a MPC2 XL
but the prices will run $1,100 tops, cause they have certain
ammenities to it -- 8 output/efx/flip screen/O.S. installed
memory (I dont know)
