When I exported a mp3 file, it was only 93 K bits/second?

The file was me freestyling over a beat that i had mixed. When i exported it as a mp3 and played it in windows media player, it said 93 k bits/second. What does this mean exactly? I've played some songs that played at 128 k bits or more. What does K bits affect and did i do something wrong?

a usual kilabyte per second is 128. Its just how big the file is. In yours youre using 93 kilabytes per second. Your mp3 will be of lower quality compared to the original recording. I usually tend to mixdown at 128 kbps but if im just sending to a friend and quality doesnt matter i will go really low.

In summary , kbps is the size/quality of your recording. The higher the kbps the better.
