When can one call themselves a guitar player?

I have played for 7 years now... and I still haven't learned Stairway...
I can hum it and play a mean air guitar for the solo though

When one can get over the fact that they can't play fast, and stops going on about "feeling" and "speed" like they are 2 mutually exclusive things. Then when they finally admit that a good blazing solo does truly kick ass as much as nice slow solo, if done well. Then you might be on your way to becoming a guitar player.

Or if you only play with an audience but get payed exhorbent scads of money to do so.
