Whch Is better for recording? My rockband microphone OR my computer webcam?

I would just like to know which one would be a better choice to go with when first starting to learn recording.

If its neither, could you recommend me some inexpensive yet good quality microphones I could get in the stores.

Some of those game mics work just like those USB things...I dont like it but it might mesh with a free program or something.

I don't think you'll get the results you want until you get those two items.

i use a rockband microphone and the program garage band on my mac book pro it sounds pretty good you can hear some recordings if you would like at
