Ok, here goes...

Kit: PDP MX Maple fusion in Sea Blue satin finish
Toms: 10x8", 12x9" and 14x12" on suspension mounts (Evans G2 coated top and G1 clear bottom)
Snare: stock maple 5x14" (Evans Power Center Reverse Dot top and 300 Hazy bottom)
Kick: 22x18" maple (Evans EQ3 batter and resonant)

Cymbals: All Zildjian
12" Total China (sounds like crap)
14" ZXT Rock hats
16" A Custom crash
17" A Custom crash
8" A Custom splash
10" A Custom splash
12" ZXT Flash splash
20" ZXT Rock ride

DW 5000 double kick pedal, and other assorted PDP and Tama hardware.

Mics
Overheads: Either a pair of SM81's or a pair of M-Audio Solaris' (LDC)
Kick: Beta 52
Toms: SM57's
Snare: Beta 57A

Style? Umm....I'm not really a drummer, I'm actually our band's guitarist. I just got the kit to screw around with and to get good enough to fill in for other drummers if necessary.

2 kits, actually....

Pearl Export, circa 1990, wine red:
10", 12", 13", 14" mounted toms
16" floor
22" kick
usually outfitted with evans G2s on top and G1s (or remo ebony) on bottom, evans HD series (depending on mood/what's on sale :D) on the kick.

Ludwig, mid-60's, Psychedelic Red
12", 13" mounted toms
16" floor tom
22" kick
usually outfitted with remo coated ambassadors all around

snares:
main: 5 x 14 mid-60's Ludwig wooden gold sparkle, usually with evans HD dry on top (obtained separately from the Ludwig kit--all around good snare)
6.5 x 14 Pearl Export, usually with some sort of black-dot on top (came with export kit--great for 80s metal "death snare" sound and not much more)
6 x 14 Ludwig POS snare, came with the ludwig kit, sounds like ass, never gets used--kept for completeness

As you can imagine, with proper head selection, i can cover a pretty wide variety of musical styles with these two kits. or at least, anything i've needed thus far. :D

Pedals and Hardware:
DW 5000 double kick with hard and felt double beater
Mismash of Pearl, Tama, DW and Gibraltar stands and hardware
Assortment of cowbells, mounted tambourine, shakers, etc
Remo rototoms (6, 8, 10")--see very little use

Cymbals:
2 completely different sounding sets of Zildjian 14" New Beat hihats (one brighter, one considerably darker)
10" Zildjian K Splash
14" Zildjian A Paper Thin Crash
16" Zildjian A Custom Crash
16" Zildjian Scimitar Bronze Crash
18" Zildjian A Medium Thin Crash
20" Zildjian K Custom Dark ride
20" Zildjian A Crash/Ride
20" Zildjian Scimitar Ride
12" Wuhan China

i don't tend to hang all of them--in fact, the Scimitar ride, crash/ride and 18" crash rarely see any action at all. i like smaller, punchier, faster decaying cymbals, and those are too "gongy" or "clangy" for my tastes. surprisingly, the 16" Scimitar crash has a fantastic "mallet crescendo", so i usually keep it.

cheers,
wade

:D I have a Tama 6 piece set, can't remember the model type, but I think its a rockstar set. I have a 13" Pearl Piccalo snare, maple shell. I have about seven cymbals which are all Paiste. My first cymbal was a Paiste and I had that cymbal for almost 15 years. My cymbal list is as follows:
14" Paiste 2000 crash
16" Paiste 505 crash (my first cymbal and sounds great)
18" Paiste 2000 crash
18" Paiste 2002 china
22" Paiste 2000 Heavy Ride
20" Paiste Signature series Flat ride
15" Paiste 2002 sound edge hi-hats
8" Paiste 2000 splash

As you can tell, I'm a paiste fan, always will be. I just don't have any mic set-ups. The only mics that I do have are the Sure (5)SM58's, and (2)SM57's.

Main kit:
Tama Starclassic Performer EX (birch/die-cast/covered)

Pearl Chad Smith Signature Snare (5x14 Steel-shell with triple-flanged hoops)

Gigging kit:

Zildjian 18" Z Medium Crash
Ziljdian 19" A Medium Crash
Zildjian 20" A Custom China
Sabian 14" AA Regular Hats
Sabian 20" AA Heavy Ride

AKG D112
SP C4's (coming in the mail next week), previously AKG C3000's.

Hey foreverrain, how do you like the DW's and the 20" and 15" toms? I may be looking to move to a DW Kit, and since I'm short (5'6") I can't ever put any drums where I want them near the kick...also, I love floor toms and a 15" always intrigued me...

Newbie here. Thanks for giving me incentive to join.

Here's the set:
Slingerland Silver badge Niles-Era set, not sure of what year.
9"x13" rack tom
16"x16" floor tom
22" x 15" Bass

Snare is a Gretsch Catalina Birch 5"x12"

Cymbals are as follows:

14" Istanbul Turk Hi-hats (pre-split era)
20" Zildjian K Custom Ride (though I'm selling this soon to get a Grand Master Master-tuned ride)
20" Sabian Hand-Hammered Manhattan Ride (pre-HHX model - works great as a crash, too)
Vintage 60's 20" Avedis-Zildjian Medium Crash with six rivets
12" Wuhan Splash (people say they're crap, but I like 'em)

As far as mics go, I'm not really in charge of that. Sorry.

But I, too, am an indie rock musician.
