if you're a drummer, list your gear and mics, if you're not a drummer, just list your mics. :-) also list the style of music you typically play with this set-up.

mics:
akg d112 (kick)
sennheiser e604 (toms)
shure 57 (snare)
looking into akg c430's for overheads, but don't own them yet.

drums:
ludwig classic
10" rack tom
14" floor tom
20" x 16" kick
14" x 5" maple snare (die cast rims, tube lugs)
I've also got a 12" rack and 16" floor for this kit, but don't use for my current gig.

cymbals:
all zildjian
14" vintage reissue hats
17" a. thin crash
20" a custom ride
looking for another crash since i cracked a zildjian from the 70s, probably will settle on a 16" vintage reissue

style of music: "indie" rock

Non-drummer but for mics;
Kick- AKG D-112 inside/ Groove Tubes AM-52 in fig 8 out in front
Snare- Either an AKG C-1000 or Sennheiser MD-441 or the ever popular SM-57
Toms- AKG C-1000s
Floor tom- AKG C-3000 or another D-112
Overheads- Earthworks SR71's or AT-4033's or Octava MK-012's or a Neumann KM-184 and the Am-52 for M/S overheads.

Yeah, while your at it can you list your adress, the times you are home, If you have a security system.... :D

D

mics:
too embarassed to say

kit:
premier genista classic (silver sparkle)
8" & 14" toms
20"x18" kick
14"x5" premier classic brass snare
12"x7" premier effex snare (birch)

cymbals:
13" paiste dimensions thin/heavy hi hats
15" meinl byzance thin crash
18" bosphorus crash jazz ride
20" meinl byzance dry ride
a couple of meinl splashes but they are rarely used

syle:
erm...it really changes between what bands im in at the time. at the moment im playing alot of fast punky stuff so i suppose punk is where its at (i am aware of all the punk debates so please just leave it there - its just the best word i can find). lets just say i love rock drumming. i am (embarrassingly) classically trained, so i have played pretty much anything.

No mics yet

Pearl red set, 7 pc, gibraltar rack.
Sabian Cymbals- AA
Splash,
1 sm 1 lrg china,
1 sm 1 lrg crash,
ride.
HH.
And have a Zil ice bell.
Cowbells everywhere,
1 pair of timbalies.
One yamaha mini snare
HH stand- Axis (Yeah!)

Back side- pintech electronic drums and cymals
Roland TD-3 module

And the newly built rotating drum stage (that I will have pics of to post tommorrow)

D

1966 Star (tama)
13 & 16 toms
22 bass drum
14 mahogany snare

22 a ride
17 & 18 a crashes
14 new beats

bass drum at 25pro (needs upgrading)
snare either 57, nt3, 990

and either
toms ecm 8000 (about 3" off toms in lieu of oh's) for heavier rock
or
a single sp b1 about 6' in front of kit 15" off the ground for lighter stuff

generally i play "stoner" rock, but i'm into capturing the sounds of the kit as a whole. I find it sounds better for my style of music to put one mic in the right spot rather than mixing five or six mics.

Snare Drum: Slingerland Steel Shell 14x5

Its nice to see some slingerland out there. My instructor, Neil peart, has switched up labels a lot, but still uses the slingerland snare he has had from the beginning.

Sorry, not a drummer, except a little Bhodran. I do mic up drums, though, incuding African Percussion. Mics:

overheads- Neuman KM184 (2), Studio Projects C-4 (2), Oktava MC012(2).

snare- AKG D320B, AKG C414B-ULS, Shure SM7-B AKG D770, AKG D690, Shure SM57, Sennheiser e835,(soon adding Sennheiser MD421)

toms-Sennheiser e609, AKG C2000B/C414B-ULS, Oktava MK319, (soon adding Sennheiser MD421)

kick-AKG D112, Audix D6

EV RE20- coming soon to a studio near you.

Djembe/Zarb- D112 on throat, C414 or C2000B on skin

Incedental percussion- wind chiimes, etc.- if it's soft, put the Neumanns on it. If it's loud, out the 414 on it.-Richie

Drums are Mapex Mars Pro Series- Burgandy - Snare (shown) is a 13" x 5" Pearl - But I also use a 14" Pearl Piccolo (natural Maple) cymbals are a variety of Zildjian - from the 70's and up - most are Custom "A"'s..... high hats are 14" C "A"'s and 12" C "A" Recording Special's - the one exception being the 14" crash located far right - which is a Paiste..

Mics are mostly 57's - Avlex AV S20 (bass) - Audio Technica MB4000C (overhead along with 57's) I prefer the 57's for all my drums - but the MB's pick up cymbals nicely.

I have a Ludwig Accent 5 piece. I have a piccolo with an st dry head and the standard Accent snare with a regular coated head. The toms have hydraulic heads, and so does the bass drum. I like to use a double bass pedal with plastic or wood beaters. I have Zildjian ZBT hi-hat cymbals, a ZBT Plus Crash, a ZBT crash/ride, and a china cymbal. I have a sub-harmonic mic that I made for live shows, much like a Yamaha sub-kick. I have 2 overhead condensers, a bass drum mic internally and sometimes one also on the batter to get a clickier sound, and a mic on the snare and one on each tom. I also have tone control rings on the heads and don't use resonant heads. It sounds better that way with hydraulics (to me anyway).

I usually play metal/hardcore (killswitch engage/pantera/avenged sevenfold/metallica style), or punk (the unseen/anti-flag/the casualties/choking victim/misfits style).
