hey all
I'm starting this thread to help the poor misfortunate souls (like myself) who can't afford a new processor.
I'm looking for you late 80's-early 90's processor users, Please no die-hard amp only peaple on this one.
What was/is your favorite?
Why?
What type of music did/do you use it for?
My favorite: The Digitech 21 Legend. I say was, but, I still use one.
My reasons: You can get a very warm sound out of it. Includes foot pedal. Versatile. Works great as a preamp or for direct line recording. Looks cool. Not too hard to set up (but with any processor, the perfect patch can take months of tweaking). Sells for less than $200.00, now, w/foot pedal.
Purpose: Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Thrash, Grunge, etc... Clean and distortion sounds under those catagories.
I'd also like to say how disappointed I am with the Digitech RP 12. It sounds extremely thin and tinny. Nearly impossible to set up. I was expecting it to be an improvement on they're older processors, its not.
What was yours?
Rich
