What's up with ProTools FREE?

I downloaded ProTools FREE, and man am I having touble. I recorded a song a few days ago (when it worked). Now I am trying to record, and guess what, it don't record no more! My soundcard is in working order because when I play I can hear my instrument when ProTools is not loaded. What is going on?

in your control panel,

make sure to set the right input in
"sounds and mulitmidia"

this is especially important if you have a multi input soundcard

i couldn't get the free pro tools to install and run like it should , so i said screw pro tools....this software is just marketing hype...the digi001 is different though...i haven't used it , but i think i'ts decent.. it doesn't use pro tools free edition....
