What's the proper rig, to archive the real amp tones from PSA-1, in the rec.board?

I've read lot of debates about the use of AMP simulators for Live/Studio, and everyone seems to have a different point of view, to bring the most accurate sound for recording purposes.

I'm talking about serious RULES, like putting DI-Boxes between specific equipments and stuffs like that, in order to archive the correct amp tones, from this simulators.
