I need a great chair and I cant afford $600 or more for a Herman Miller (though I will some day, mark my words :) )

Any suggestions? My back and ass hurts.

Take out a loan and GET one - had the same problems til my daughter drug me down and made me buy one - I thought she was nuts til I sat in it - after a week, I took her to dinner and thanked her again.

What's the thing that's best next to a Herman Miller chair? Your ass, my friend - your ass... Steve

Convincing. But so much frigging money for a chair. Ridiculous.
I want it though.

I sat in one at Costco the other day by another manufacturer (don't remember who) - $1400, even at Costco!!!?! No better than the Miller, just had leather instead of the spacey mesh stuff, in fact the Miller is more comfy IMO.

My daughter asked me what several years of Chiro and pain were worth - that, and sitting in the thing, no-brainer... Steve

Herman Miller launced the successor to the Aeron chair this summer in Chicago at the 2003 Neocon tradeshow. It is called the Mirra and has been priced below the Aeron.

There are companies that do Miller and Steelcase refurbs, claim to sell at 50% the price of new. There's one here (in Lansing MI) that advertises a lot, but their name's escaping me now...

Daf (my back LOVES Steelcase chairs)
