what's the name of that portable hand held sequencer?

There's the QY series and the MU series. I've honestly never tried them out, but I'm looking at them myself...mainly for the sake of getting a battery powered sound module to go along with my coming battery powered AX-1 or AX-7...

Hmmm.Well sometimes I work graves and I am just there doing nothing when a cool tune and rythm pop into my head,I hate when that happens.ANd I dont have anything I can put like a little sketch with some keys and some generic drum samples.Maybe they can invent something, and name it after me.

The MU series are tone modules not sequencers.

The Yamaha QY70 is the best handheld sequencer for the money. It runs on batteries and has kiler onboard sounds, perfect for music creation while camping or anything.

I am selling one and it is still at a very reasonable price, I've seen them go for up to $300 used. It has a little keybaord and 16 linear tracks of ral time MIDI with a selectable 8 track pattern section that can do the drums or bass or anything else for you with custom or preset patterns of any style.

I have never heard the 20 but I have heard it is very sub pro.
The 70 is very pro-able.
The 20 should do fine for simple sketching though...try one.

Let us know...
