Cool, good luck. Can I assume you're gonna use an existing diaphram? Not gonna attempt gold sputtering are you?

He's just going to borrow a diaphram from his girlfriend. How many microns do you think one of those would be?
 
I think the most important part of any microphone is the microphone part. The least important part is probably the dent from when I dropped it.

Gabriel, can you be a little more specific?

Condensor, dynamic, tube? What kind of mic do you want to build?

There are some do-it-yourself links out on the internet with schematics on building mics. Have you checked these?
