What's the folk/pop genre sound like??

What's a good example of a folk/pop tune? When I think of folk music I think Peter, Paul & Mary or maybe a little James Taylor. When I think I pop music I think of boy bands or britney spears. So what does folk and pop sound like together?

I don't know. All these genres make my head spin. I would point you to someone like Dar Williams. I think she would classify as folk-pop. Pick up her live album that came out a couple of years ago. It is a great selection of work from her studio albums and , imo, sounds better than most of them too.
