Whats the difference between all these Cubase products?

Hi, first post here. I'm trying to get into this new fangled computer recording and am looking for a recording program. What is the difference between all these Steinberg products: CubaseVST, Cubasis, CubaseSX, CubaseSL? Are they all for recording? Which is best for a newbie? Right now I have a 1.4gigherz PC, 256MB Ram, Quattro interface, behringer mixer and an sm57

yes they are all for recording...the best one for a newbie is probably cubasis or SL....but all the differences between them should be here
