Nevermind, apparently this mic sucks.

if your want even decent vocals you'll need to spend way more than 130 bucks. it's the nature of recording. it gets expensive fast.

A good combo for a stitch more is the SM57 with a line6 UX1...that will give you vocals that can mimick those of the LedZeppelin and BadCompany sessions that were done with SM57 mics and a Neve 1076.
