i guess you could say that ive been out of the loop of keyboards for a while. I havent shopped for a keyboard/midi in like 10 yrs, whats new in world of keyuboards?
There's too many to list by name - but the trend during that last few years has been a return to "analog" sounds and functions. There are a lot of boards/modules that have actual knobs to tweak vs. menu screens to scroll through. Naturally there are any number of digital units in continued production - but the retund to analog may be something you would appreciate if you havn't looked in several years.
Higher quality Sampling, better A/D & D/A converters, and better sounding, and more flexible FX. Most workstations are now providing for audio tracks within their sequencers, and also support the sharing of audio to PC's for editing, via USB or M/Lan (Yamaha's protocol based around Firewire technology).
