At 4033 is a very good all-purpose mic. The ksm32 is a great all-purpose mic.
The 4033 isn't quite as neutral (the mids are a bit more present, and the highs are boosted a little as well). The ksm32 is more natural sounding. What goes in is pretty much what comes out . . . only it does a pretty exceptional job of reproducing it, for the money, in my opinion. I might give a small nod to the 4033 strictly as a vocal mic, though.
The sm7 isn't nearly as all-purpose as the other two. It's great on most vocals as well as other ods and ends. I wouldn't consider it a particularly good kick-drum mic. I would actually highly advise against using it as such -- I've heard a few people mention the capsule can become damaged over time after prolonged use without a windscreen.

I would second the Sennheiser MD-441. Very versitile and an excellent vocal mic for some singers. This is a very clean, clear dynamic mic at its nuetral settings. It can be used at ten different settings to tailor it for a particular vocal. You wouldn't believe it unless you heard it.

The Studio Projects C1 has been one of the best vocal mics for my voice. What's a good vocal mic will vary by voice.

The KSM-32 is a very good mic for many applications. I have heard the comment a few times that it is a "boring" vocal mic. I would think that depends on the vocalist.
A great voice will sound great with a KSM-32. An average voice will sound average. The KSM-32 provides a very accurate, transparent sound. What goes in is what comes out.
I don't like my voice through a KSM-32 - because I don't have a great voice. My voice works better through an AT4047 and it also works well with a MLX67. Candidly, I think my voice sounds best through an SM58.
As has been pointed out, different voices work with different mics - but you can't go too wrong with an accurate mic like a KSM-32.

building a mic locker is an awsome and at times tedious task...the beginning is the worst unless you have a HUGE budget in which case a ksm-32 would be a sorta secondary mic but a great addition to your neumanns and shoepps and such...as it is, the ksm-32 is versatile enough to be used on many different types of voices and instruments...it has a nice 'sheen' in the top and the typical shure 'bottom'...tight but really there...the octava's are a hunt and seek kinda mic...some are good some are very poor and every now and then an outstanding one will pop up...this means a lot of trial and error in locating the outstanding one...i have an outstanding md-319 but it came to me because they happened to have 20 in stock and i tried em all....this one was audibly better than all the rest.....but you really cannot go wrong with the ksm-32....it is a mike you can use for many years after you've achieved microphone nirvana by owning old tube neumans and such...
