What's a good cheap preamp with digital o/p

Hello bbs-ers

I currently have a Midiman 2496, and I'm not really using the spdif side since I don't have any ADCs.

I was thinking of getting a dual preamp with spdif o/p to use with my 2496. I have my eyes on the ART DPS, since it's pretty cheap also. Is there any other product available for this purpose?

An inexpensive alternative, IMHO, to hi-priced pre's so often discussed here, is the ART TPS. @ $169 street loaded with ample features and decent perf, this pre will satisfy most budget-minded recordists!
 
you can get an Art DI/O converter forabout $99 and then you can use any preamp.....
 
yea i was thinking of that also, but anyone have experience with the art DPS? are their spdif outputs optical or rca? that way i can kill 2 birds withone stone!
