Hypothetical question:
If you have a good condenser mic, and phantom power on your multi-track recorder, is there any reason to still go through a pre-amp any more? Or is the purpose of a pre-amp more than just giving your mic power???
Ok so that was 2 questions...sorry.
I know the answer might be along the lines of "depends on the quality of your mic and/or pre-amp". But let's assume they're both GOOD quality. Still need the pre-amp?
