What works with an Athlon System?

I have an Athlon system that I find is indispensable when it comes to designing web sites, static and Flash, but I got a pretty good deal on a Midiman DMAN 2044 and can't get it to work on my system. I have the Biostar MKM7A mobo and have tried the card on the MKM7E with the KX133 chipset (which is what I've been told to use). I can't get the darn thing to work. Has anyone had any success recording digitally with an Athlon system and if so, what audio card are you using?
Also, can I get a decent recording with my Monster Sound MX300? I know when I pull audio off of cassette tapes to cd, the sound isn't bad at all, just curious

I have an athatlon k7 600. I use my adat and
download via the adat pcr card then edit from
there. I have no problems but I am not recording directly into my pc. If you wish to

I would suggest that you go to AMD's tech support and ask them if there's a problem...try midiman tech support too...they're usually good at answering questions related to conflicts with their products.
