Hey,
It may seem a stupid question but I was wondering what would cause my mixer to be damaged. I just got it recently and want to use it correctly. Normally I will use it to plug an XLR mic lead into it and sometimes a normal 1/4" jack for electric guitar and then the mixer to my laptop soundcard. That seems fine...how about if I plug the mixer to an amp? Basically any advice on correct use will be very helpful.
Cheers,
Simon

oh yeah...
the mixer is just a small soundcraft folio notepad...similar to spirits apart from a little less complex and alot smaller.

Well, gee... don't submerge it in water... don't pour drinks on it it... don't plug it into a 220 V supply... don't jump up and down on it or kick it too hard...

There's not much you can do to damage it if you are sensible and plug in mics, line-level signals, or instrument-level signals. If it's not obvious, DON"T plug the speaker output of a guitar amp into it.

if you want to run a guitar amp sound through it...

go pickup a j-station or something...its about 100 bucks and a hell of alot safer than trying to run the guitar amp through....or just mic the guitar amp
