What we want in the next CEP

Something going on here - this thread is the longest, biggest thread in the history of this forum.

Anyone wanna talk about religion?

Wow, I am proud to have started the longest thread in forum history. I used to try to answer almost every thread here, but then I got away from it for quite a while. I was one of those CEP all the way people, but now I use a bit of most everything. Anyway, I am also curious about that 32-bit floating point idea. It doesn't seem like it actually is 32 bit because it doesn't bog down the system like I would expect. I am not sure exactly though. I should check out my manual someday, but I probably won't.

The ultimate question, doesn't everything we have already asked for exist in another peice of software? Why stay with CEP when we could switch to Vegas or Cubase or something.

Its all in the interface.
CEP has the best UI.
Its simple and functional.

Other programs have really crappy UI.

My name is Scott. I am a real musician.:o

I lick the doo doo from the anus of eels left in warm barrels of petroleum jelly. The mountains I traverse are of frolicking parasites in heat on date rape drugs and my ancestors are polly wogs.

What was that last post about?? Does anyone understand that? I have no friggen clue.

You people should get a life. This post has 10% response talk and 90% bullshit. Tooo many looser wanker trendy talking ego dick heads. Its usually pretty good untill the dickheads turn up.

as said before midi & real time effects & a L/R delay like logic so when recording you can delay left from the right(etc) channel by as little as 1/96 sec.It paints a nicer stereo picture.

Why stay with CEP?? It Never ever crashes.(for me anyway)

Bob Ellison, president of Syntrillium, said the release date would be 'early next year'. Given Synt's track record, this means anytime before June, I think.

I can wait. I don't want MIDI, and I don't want to have to pay for it. I want real time effects and a compressor that works and looping function enhancement. It's got that. So it all depends on the upgrade price they offer. If it's not attractive enough, it would make more sense for me to go with another (MIDI-free) audio program.

Meshuggah, I'm all for choice and alternatives, but messing with CEP's colors is messing with perfection. Abomination! :D

cooledit

hi guys and gals im new here and dont know much but and am running cooledit 1.2 anyway here are some ideas

id like led meters on recording for individual tracks as well as a set of sterio vu meaters for sterio outs as well as real time plug ins
and a grid mode simmilar to protools for beat composition as for midi i recon it would be nice if it was refinde currently it looks like it has been helter scelter put in other wise its almosst perfect
