good ole Kramer Striker......1986 model...single slanted pickup and a volume control....I miss that guitar even though I have 2 PRS customs and other usa fender gibson models.

me first guitar

my first guitar was a ramirez classical. then i bought a samick cheap acoustic for some reason....and i went through a whole lot of used guitars trying to find the one i wanted. finally i settled on a Breedlove master series and a Yairi thinline folk cutaway :)

My first guitar was a $150 Squier don't know the exact model # but it was just a rip off of a fender. Just like anyother cheap guitar on the maket I guess.

I started on my dad's 1949 Harmony Montery. I still have it. The first guitar that was actually mine was a 62 Gibson Melody Maker. Still have that one too.

I recieved a Kramer Striker 100s as a gift 7 years ago. I still have it, and I still love it. I even upgraded the pickup. :D

:) woo-hoo! I love these ones. My first axe was in 91 or so. The crappiest guitar ever. -Synsonics Terminator- W/built in speaker. Still have it and I will never get rid of it. ;)

Shoe box and rubber bands.

Well actually a Harmony Strat wanna b. Still have it. It has been 4 colors currently gold.

I bought a 12 string Aria off my brother in 1974 for $50.00 CAD. He didn't really want to sell it to me, and I guess he expected that I'd give up and give it back to him. His main bits of advice were:

Don't play so much that you get calluses. You need to feel the strings.

Don't bother putting on all 12 strings. That's twice as difficult as 6.

Don't bother trying to play that D9th chord (the one at the 5th fret). It's waaay too difficult.

What an arsehole.

My first electric came a year later. It was an Espana semi-acoustic electric. Piece of shit. I think I paid $35.00 CAD for it.

Oscar Schmidt by Washburn (yes they make even cheaper copies of what they already make) Odm-2 acoustic. I still have it, never play it, never change the strings on it, but sits on the stand in my basement looking pretty. It has a nice transparent red finish to it.

My first was a Larivee...original neck broke for the guy who had it before me...now it's got a chandler neck and some custom pickups in it

Jacob

A made in Mex Strat... oh wait, its still my favorite. 9 years, a few mods, and hardly any problems.

My dad found an acousic guitar on a street, it had a broken neck at the headstock. Fixed it up, and gave it to me. Cimar by Ibanez, came out 20 something years ago according to teh interweb. Horrible action, goes out of tune, very good projection. I still have it.

My first electric was some some strat POS copy by washburn. This was back when I thought gloss + black = cool. Sold it to some poor shmuck for a cool $100. This really turned me off to washburn products for a long time.

Incidentaly, my first bass is by washburn, T-34. I love this bass.
