I have this mic on order from Amazon, Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB Cardioid Dynamic USB/XLR Microphone less than $50. Heard great reviews, has both XLR and USB, along with a headphone connection right on the mic to eliminate delay. I will post again after I try it.

It depends on your needs but USB is convenient, and the Samson's a good little package.

Pretty useful video on how to get the most out of it:

Alternatively the Yeti from Blue seems to get good reviews.
The best is Yeti Pro from Blue for 192khz/24bit recording but it's not cheap.

C01U is a good microphone and easy use being totally USB powered. Depends how much you want to spend and what other equipment you have. The more expensive ones will give you a higher quality recording but not everyone is ready to spend more than say $75.
