im new to this , but im having fun. I was wondering if someone could give me some advice as to what sound card I could get that would enable me to multi track at once. The sound card I have only has one input and i have yet to purchase anything else due to the fact that i am uncertain as what to buy. Im just dabbling in home recording as a hobby but it would be grat if someone could help me. I am using a ten channel mixer as a pre-amp control so i guess i would need a multi input sound card or some source?
Help me out

Why did you post this here and not in the Computer Recording and Soundcards forum?

I'm assuming you use some kind of Cakewalk software and thats why you are posting here.;)

This question gets asked a lot,but it's one that leads to a lot of other questions....

What type of music?
What software?
Budget?
How many inputs and what type?
There are'nt any one size fits all soundcards.

If you don't need midi, I would recommend an M-Audio Delta 44. It will let you record upto 4 tracks at once. Cost $200
