I tend to find the M-Audio gear to be somewhat lacking in sound quality, particularly in their older designs. I'd go with one of the other two.

For me if I had $1500 and I didn't own a Neumann U87 I'd spend the money on that.

I have a Delta 1010LT which is a piece of junk but with an exopensive mic/mic pre and tube compressor it sounds good (to me :) ).

The source is the #1 thing.

I wouldn't waste any money on what people will say is a good sound card or interface in 2010 because there's monumental changes coming in the next couple of years in that department. Anything recording at current specs is somewhat of a joke, we are in a transitional period, so my advice is use your current card and get a U87, there's no changes in U87's coming, but any card you buy now will be a joke in a short time so I wouldn't waste money on it.

ok thanks the u87 is 3500 not ready to spend that much yet thats why i am wanting to get a audio interface and a better channel strip

I have seen them for less than $1500 in the last year.
