What software is capable of this?

I am a huge fan of this musician. His music is listed as "electronica," which makes me think this song was created purely with software.

Here is a link to the song:
Amazon.com: Mission Accomplished: Dario Russo: MP3 Downloads

(In your opinion) is this all based on samples? (i.e. Is it a trumpet sample that is played on a keyboard?) Or is it analog recording that has been mixed?

Most importantly, if it is all digital, which software would be capable of this?

PS: Follow-up question: besides trumpet, what other instruments are involved? Is it electric piano?

Yeah, it's all VI's right down to the tacky drums. As far as software, pick a winner. They all can sound bad. Or good. Out of the box sounds usually need some tweaking to sound like it's actually a person playing. Not always easy. Yes, that is an electric piano. Do you like lounge music and leisure suits?

A huge fan huh? And you didn't even review the record? Hmm...

I bet you are either the artist or his wife or friend. I assume you are the artist. See, whenever a first post on this forum contains a link to some site or download, 99.9% of the time it is spam. Correct me if I am wrong here. :)

Why not just ask direct questions instead of bullshitting your way around to get members of a site to listen with false pretense?

This is a site with the goal of helping each other out. Please do not spam it for hits.

Again, please correct me if I am wrong here.

Best to you,

Jimmy

Actually I did not mind what I heard, but this is probably spam?

Remember the days BI (Before Internet)? Back then, instead of perusing life-changing threads like this one, I would fritter away my time on meaningless endeavors.

Seems that 'Danger 5' that the link refers to (soundtrack) is some Australian tv series. Maybe one of our Aussie members can go find this spaceman. :spank:

Thank you guys so far. This does look odd, I realize. This is my first post in this forum, but I belong to other forums and I grant that first post that is a link to a song looks like something else, but I assure you that I am genuine.

I won't bore you with the details, but I have experience with FL Studio and have been tinkering with Magix. I noticed that Magix has some ability to distort the trumpets to tweak them to a "wetter" sound for one thing. I imagine if you did each trumpet separately and then layered them together, you might get something like this, but I didn't want to set the thread down any road, I wanted a fresh read from you guys.

@bongoboy: I'm not a fan of lounge music per se, but this track is used quite effectively in context. I found the track "inspirational" in the sense that my tracks often come out sounding like a MIDI from the early nineties, but this fellow seems to have tweaked his software to make me think it's all analog. I grant that it does sound like drum machines, possibly. And that electric piano is easy to do digitally, but the trumpets are what prompted the post.

@jimmy69: I see your point, but I honestly was just trying to get a fresh read without influencing the thread one way or another. But now that we're here, I want to focus on the trumpets. (I suspect that you have a lot of knowledge, so I do not want to alienate you from this thread.)

MikeKnight, thank you for mentioning Dario Russo. I'd never heard of him, and still haven't listened to any of his music on Amazon, but after looking him up on IMDB I've started watching Danger 5 on Netflix. So far I've only seen the first three episodes, but it's definitely wacky! :)
