Hi! Micsales here! I hope you started this thread out of respect for DJL. It is he who keeps this BBS spam-free! There are literally dozens of mic-companies that are dying to get in here to foist off their various products onto unsuspecting newbies, like you. Have some respect for DJL and let his opinions be known here without harassment!

I am very disappointed with everyone who continues to make a mockery of this BBS. No-one shall be banned from this BBS who helps the common cause of keeping the place spam-free. It is the great info (that I sometimes provide) that makes this the #1 site to be on (porn-sites being the only better place) but, I digress.

Hmmmm.

Not to presume anything, but given the speed of Micsales reply, I see there being 3 options:

- He just HAPPENED to be checking this very moment
- He checks all the time but never posts
- He is somebody with multiple accounts (hence saw this as a usual poster, and logged in as Micsales to reply).

Anyone here got an alter-ego? :D

I thought Micsales was just a joke character. After reading that the 421 was a condensor, or something like that. Theres no way he's for real.

Yes, Micsales is a joke character, but with so many new people coming here looking for advice, those jokes can be taken quite seriously by a lot of new people. And that lowers the usefulness of this forum whenever the information presented can't be trusted. If you're knowledgable about mics, some of the stuff is funny, but it's too easy for a lot of new people to take him/her seriously.

All 10 of Micsales' posts were meant to be funny, by deliberately spreading wrong information as facts. If we had a "pro mic forum" here, and Micsales posted only to that forum, I'd love it.
 
Micsales is funny, but nowhere near as much as Monty Python.

The IGNORE function here is pretty damned effective.

Works better on the BBS that it does on the ex-gash!
 
What does the ignore function do? I figured it just related to PMs.

From the HR FAQ: Ignore lists are used for those people whose messages you wish not to read. By adding someone to your ignore list, those messages posted by these individuals will be hidden when you read a thread.

So, if everyone added DJL to the ignore list, we would not see his posts anymore.... Ok, I like that. I have just added DJL to my ignore list...
 
C7 is correct, this ignore thing works great. I have gone through a few old threads and no longer see any posts by you know who...I love it. Should of done that a year and a half ago....... :D

i wouldn't ban him, he can always come back under a different name,
or does the admin here really takes a look at all the IP's ?
even then he can try some IP spoofing,

my point is= its kinda useless to bann anyone,

let him talk, we can always ignore him, i'm 200% FOR freedom of speech, but of course, when you start insulting people, you might be beaten up...

so i'd say let him stay here, and if he disbehaves;..well... we'll just talk dirty to him or even worse: IGNORE THE LILL CHILD

As much as there is a part of me that likes this thread because of previous posts, I really feel like threads like this have no place here and that all it really serves is to put us on the same level. Please don't take this as me defending him, but purely as me standing up for what I believe.
 
the solution is simple... just don't reply... ignore the post... it's pretty easy to do...

they're like the adolescent that cries to get attention... they keep crying because that gets the attention...

posters that are generally patronizing and condescending always want the last say... let'em have it...

My son Justin told me that as well about stuff showing up in quotes, but I got to tell you Tim, I don't care anymore. I will never reply to him again. Not worth my time typing. He is free to say and do what he wants to...I will not see most of it... ;)
