Sup, I recently bought an oxygen 8 25 key midi controller I use it with reason adapted fo M-Audio.I am only 15 yrs old and I wasnt about to buy the motif  my "piggy bank" didnt have so much money, but I had enough to get some so I got that.I know reason is hard and I am the only person my age that I know uses it.I want to make the lil jon, mannie fresh, etc. type beats. My question is should I buy another program to do that(if so what program?)Or should I just save my money and buy a keyboard for that purpose. Thanks for reading and thanks for your help.

Post your question only once. Pick the most appropriate forum. Do not think that you will get a better, quicker or more complete answer by posting in multiple forums multiple times.

Now, on to your question.

Making any kind of beat is possible in Reason. If Reason Adapted has a Redrum Drum Computer, and I can't see how they could have left that out, then you have all you need to make jumpin' swingin' tight beats. You can program the Redrum two ways - like a TR-808 or 909 from the front panel with a mouse or from the keyboard you have by playing the notes with the machine rolling. I have Reason, the same keyboard you have, and manage to make any type of beat I can imagine...

You have all the equipment you need - the rest is up to you and the amount of work you are willing to put in.

you probably wanna get you some better sounds...

wave disks with better hip hop drums, refills with better basses and synths, hip hop based samples in general, stuff like that....

learn how to get the sound you want from what you got. learn some tricks... get to a point where you are saying "oh that's how they did that".

other than that you can learn what you got until you can think about the full version of reason...

What are some good refills sample, etc and what tempo are the lil jon mannie fresh type beats on.

it's one called 160DB that should have some knock on it... maybe some basses and whatnot but I think it was made for dance music. same intruments just used a lil diffently...

Where can I find that and is reson the program sutible for the"krunk" beats.(can you do the lil jon mannie fresh type beats?)

Actually I think you need the Funk Logic Freshinator plugin for that.

alright yung-un it's time to use your brower.... type you info in and take a trip down the information highway.

i typed in reason refills in my brower and got http://www.reasonrefills.com/...
you can type in some more stuff and maybe find some nice free refills and samples if you tried.

I tried downloading some refills from the propellerheads site and it said that the refills would only would with the full version.I have reason adapted and I dont have $200 so what do I do now?
