I have recently added some new mics to my collection, but was wondering what I should pickup next.. I was either thinking of a new LDC or LDD.. Maybe a KSM32 or Baby Bottle.. or a Shure SM7?

My mics are...

EV 635
Shure SM57
Shure PG57
Sennheiser e835
Sennheiser e609 Silver
EV CO4
Audix I5
AT Pro 25
2 MXL990
2 MXL991
CAD M177

It really varies, I do a lot of work for local artists..

I see a big hole in the multipattern condensor area... maybe an AT4050, M179, or C414? All kinds of neat stuff you can do with a multipattern LDC like M/S recording. I use my AT4050 all the time. It just works on damn near everything and is extremely flexible. A good dynamic can't hurt either... but you already have a 57, an i5, e609, and e835s and I don't know if an SM7 or MD421 will be different enough to be worth it as what you have are all good dynamics. I might sell a few of those cheapo dynamics though and maybe work towards getting rid of the MXL990s and M177 and upgrade to a pair of AT4050s plus maybe a good cardioid LDC like an AT 4033 or 4047 (please no diatribes on how those mics aren't true LDCs blah blah blah). 4050s are my desert island choice. Sorry, I like AT mics as they are just so damn versatile and are priced reasonably compared to other mics in their level. I have a Baby Bottle and while I quite like it (it is a later US built one thus less "dark" as the first round Latvian built ones) and it sounds quite neutral on most things, I think it is slightly more specialty and less work horse... but not as nichesque as some might lead you to believe.
