I use a shure unisphere, kind of the predecessor to the SM58.

Shure SM58 Beta... (while playing guitar). And in some case I don't have to play guitar, I use my new SM58 wireless UT-4. Awesome...:)

i started using a 58 then moved to a 57..then to a 57 beta and now i use a audix om-7..i like it the best so far

How about the 87?

Anyone use the 87 or beta 87? I see lots of big Jazz singers using it. It's about 75% more expensive than a Beta 58, which I was considering for my next mic. I'd like to do a side by side with the two sometime soon. This might be a post for the mic forum, but it makes just as much sense here in the...

Ev-Vocal Forum!

sm-58

for live performances i have always used shure sm-58 (not the betas)..

they are cheap and they work great... (as all of you already know I am sure)

I just sing really loud. They won't let me get near a mic.
