What memory should I use with this MOBO/Proc?

Hey fellas...

Got a quick question about a PC I'm putting together for a friend of mine... It looks like I'm gonna be picking up an Asus A7N8X-X /Nforce2 mobo with a Athlon XP 2200+ for about $150 off of pricewatch. I realize that this mobo is different in from the Deluxe model. Besides the difference in ATA, the integrated audio engine, the AGP, I think this board can run only single channel RAM.

What should I throw in this system RAM wise (as in brand/type/speed/cas)... I'd go with the deluxe, but he really doesn't have the budget... we're cutting it right to the wire as it is.

Not sure if Athlons make any difference, but if its a new board, PC2100, 2700 DDR would be my guess. Match the buss speed of the CPU.

Click Here for memory recommendations. The nForce is pretty picky with memory, from what I've heard, so you'd probably want to follow what Asus says.

Hey... I'm still a little uncertain about the RAM... Do I want to use 2 256 meg sticks or 1 512 meg stick. Also, I was looking at the XP 1800 as well. Its about 30 bucks cheaper, but I was wondering if they are thoroughbred A/B procs or palamino's and what the bus speed is on them. 266? or 200?.

Anyone have any problems with A7N8X-X model mobo?
