hi.

i was wondering if somebody with experienced ears could possibly hazard a guess as to what kind of guitar / amp / whatever is being used to make this rhythm guitar sound in this song:

the left guitar. just wondering.

thanks

Maybe a Strat in position neck/middle with a good deal of compression into a clean twin?

...assuming my speakers are on the proper sides........;)

For some reason I think it could acually be a LesPaul:rolleyes: , but I am sticking with a strat just because.

That's a '69 Tele Thinline with single coil p'ups.

....and BTW, it's got a natural finish, not sunburst.

Sounds like a strat/tele played with some left hand funk.

Neck pickup, tone open.

Clean amp with a lil bit o dirt...

And a purple strap.

Rock on!

And a burn mark on the head under the low E string from a smoke. Wake up. :)

Sorry, guys... the ears aren't as good as they used to be since I turned 40. :(

thanks, dudes.

luckily, i mentally prepared myself for the the sarcasm in advance. other people said it sounds like a strat too, so i guessthat's good enough. peace.

stratomaster, you've outdone yourself. that's a really cool link.

i have no experience with electric guitar, but yeah, that seems to be a recurring tone during that whole era, and i really like it, so i was hoping to peg it.

thanks

Lots of scratches from a belt buckle on the back. You guys suck.:D

C'mon guys, no one has stated the most obvious fact so far, the finish is sooooo obviously nitro...not poly. I can hear it a mile away!

Alot of Fret Noise

Hey all these entries were good, But there is one thing I hear that no one said, what ever guitar it is. (a strat or tele would be my guess.) The action is very low to the fret board and they are getting alot of fret noise. try it maybe you will like it.

Its obviously a banjo strung with round wound bass strings, played through an old Marantz tube stereo receiver...

And the player is wearing his girlfriends leopard print pushup bra and matching crotchless panties...:p
