What makes this forum so special to you? how often do you think about this place and how often do you wonder if someone u know on here posted up some new beats/tracks/info? What makes you prefer this forum over others? Just wondering ya'll
 
When I first started doing home recording I came to this site for information, and I got information. I forgot the password for my original screen name and did not log in for 2 years. That was a blessing in disguise because it forced me to do internet searches, buy books and just read about stuff instead of asking a million questions.

I think this site is cool because it is really informative. I have to honestly say that I don't think about it that much during the week (no time) but on the weekend when I am working two sixteen hour shifts in front of a pc it is my best friend.

And Dessert Ease, wassup with that beat you were working on, did you finish it yet?
 
Ay what up everybody.I've been coming to this site for about 4 years now off and on.The draw for me is the exchange of info.The willingness to help a fellow producer/MC. It doesnt seem to be that much hating around in here.I come on from time to time but I've been real busy lately applying some of the knowledge I received right in this forum.I'm still making tracks but I'm also promoting parties and artists. If I have info on a certain subject I always try to help out because I know how frustrating it could be.I have almost always received encouragement in this forum(HIP HOP SECTION) and those words help motivate and keep me going when I almost gave it up.Check out some of my new tracks (shameless plug).
 
cause itd the DJ/Hip-Hop/Rap/Beats forum of Home Recordings....and we are here to help each other out to improve on their work..to have quality work with the equipment they have..rather small or big...tips can help everyone no matter what they are using..

This forum is probably the best one on the boards. Theres no flaming, people are all here to help each other out, and you all seem to know a good bit about the industry you're working in.
 
This forum is full of good people from different walks of life with Great ideas!

Especially the one's who have patience and understanding and always willing to help. I believe you get back what you put in it. And those people know who they are, keep it up and thanks for all the help!
 
Actually I'm usually in all the forums on this bbs, well almost all forums, mic's, racks, recording Tech, computer recording, mixing mastering, marketing your music, newbies, live events, visitor feedback & the cave. I find this particular one more interesting because of it just being hip hop & rap, it's more relative to me. I usually am checking posts daily, helping people where I can. The best time to learn is now. The more knowledge I have, the better I am. I've been on here not that long really, less than a year I know that. This is the only BBS I've been on that not many people hating each other, and is the most extensive informative site I've been on in the internet. Anyways, back to work before I get fired lol

You're one of the one's who have helped me along Mindset, so you deserve madd props. Plus I have read your posts in other forums, and they're digging you too!
Speaking of people who have helped me, where is Jug?
I have been able to collab with local cats for the past 6 or 7 months because he pointed me in the right direction as far as vocal collabing. I pop in here frequently, especially when I am at work, I get alot of down time. But I catch so much good info, that I get panic attacks. It's like, "Oh, that's how you do that"......I don't detect snobish dudes in here, not too much arrogance either. I have heard dudes make a banger and they are so modest and say I was just messing around. I dig that!

Straight to the point....

This forum has the least bs out of all the ones I've browsed around. Most of the bs gets killed real quick, especially those world renowned spam artists. I know if I need answers/opinions/help whatever, I can get folks to give me what I need. Likewise, I give back what I put in to it. Many of you know that. I more or less feel like a part of a fam or group here and that's what I like. Been around for a minute and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon.

Oh and PS about that help part...I'm in the process of moving across the street. Furniture's a bitch, anyone wanna help? LOL

its like this...

this forum to me has been the backbone of my music since day 1. i been here for years now and let me tell you somethin i take the name of homerecording.com/bbs hip hop where ever i go. i plug this forum and site any chance i get causei get oppurtunities i would be missing if i just did all the leg work on my own, in here we can settle disagreements like human beings and talk about the music like it should be talked about with honor and respect. this site as a whole represents the strive for us as musicians to come together and do wat we love to do and learn from each other at the same time. besides i love rockin to all the new sounds we all come up with...collectively were all sick with our music no bs no frontin ;)
 
I like this forum because of the folks here. I don't get to get on the net much since i don't have home internet anymore, but i like how we help each other out. It's a great place.
 
I'm all over the place like Mindset. I originally came to this site a few years ago to ask a question in the Cool Edit forum. I was brand new to PC recording, as I'd been used to recording in a major studio for a few years. The whole idea of "in the box" was new to me, and I needed some help. I found it, and decided I'd continue to learn from the knowledge base that was here... Now, I feel like I'm a part of the knowledge base. While I continue to learn new things, I'm able to teach a lot of the things I know as well.

On top of that, the Hip-Hop forum has a level of maturity that no other Hip-Hop forum I've been to can rival. We treat each other as respectable individuals with multiple tastes and likes. We all respect that, and we all learn and grow because of it. It's a give and take system here, and it works.
 
I been on this BBS for years on and off, looking at the mic forum, alesis, cubase, rack, whatever....all over. Didn't post much cause I was trying to learn (sifting through all the bs)

Here in the Hip hop forum, there is waaaaay less bs to sift through. The respect level in this forum is above all others on this bbs.
