What is your favorite model/year Stratocaster?

So, a "Strat" is frozen in time, forever, never to benefit from new ideas, new inventions and developments, or the realization that something was a mis-step or just a big fuckin' mistake? Sorry, ranjam, I'm not buying it.

And "Change the truss rod...change the feel and the tone" is just way beyond the pale. Truss rods occasionally break- to not change it is to relegate the "former" Strat to wall-hanger status.
 
I'll hate on a Strat until they move the damned volume knob out of my way!:mad:
