Im just wondering what everyones setup is around their Fostex gear. Mics, preamps, etc. Also what kind of music are yall recording?

I'm using a cheapy nady and an Electro voice pl 78 for mics. Cakewalks Clubtracks to mix, and I'm recording an ukulele, guitar and washboard. I also have an ADA delay, but it hasn't added anything useful so far, so, I've pretty well left it just lying around looking sad and bewildered...(I really need to stop answering posts when i should be asleep...lol)
The kind of music I'm recording is, well, a bit unusual, some of it's from the 1920's and 30's, some of it is original, and some of it is really undefinable (I think I'll use the sound of a ratchet wrench for percussion in one song i'm working on).
Oh, I'm in the process of talking my wife into a bass, but she's not real sure she wants one. (lol)

WHOA!! you got it goin on Blue! I can't imagine having equipment like that...I'd be afraid to use it!! I think it's more a matter of KNOWING how to use all that stuff. I would be dazed and confused just finding the switch to turn it on! Me, I'm happy with my Fostex MR-8. I feed a couple of AKG 2200S mics through a Behringer UB-1002. I also use a H-P 2.53gig pc, 80gig hd, w/cubasis.
BTW...I've been in "pro" studios that didn't have that nice of a setup.
