what is the newest OS i can upgrade to?

From my experience, I like XP and it's very stable on all of my other systems so far, even on one where 2000 kept crashing... but 2000 seems to work better with my Delta1010. XP locked up a couple times when I was recording and seemed to run slower with my audio applications. Probably just one of those things, but I went with Win2000 on the Delta machine cause of that.
 
ok i will go for winxp home then? i do not need networking capabilities, so pro would not offer anything else besides this right?

if my delta craps up with it i will go win2k

all this os talk is all well and good, HOWEVER, I TOO HAVE A COPY OF SAMPLITUDE AND I AM USING WINDOWS 2000 ON MY MAIN AUDIO COMPUTER, SAMPLITUDE (UNLESS THEY HAVE UPGRADED FROM 6.0) DOES NOT SUPPORT 24 BIT RECORDING ON WINDOWS 2000!
i know they are supposed to change and might be offering wdm driver support in the future, so you had best be certain, samplitude is well known to work quite well on 98-----
