What is the best solution to clean the tolex of an amp?
Windex?
Fantastic?
Mild soapy water?

I have an old amp and I want to clean it up......

I was wondering what you all have done in the past and what you would recommend to use.

I've used very mild soapy water with a washcloth or brush if the tolex is really wrinkly. Works fine. To get it looking like-new, hit it with some Armor All like it's a dashboard in a 1976 Cordoba. I bought a cab last year that while being in great shape, it was dirty and dusty as hell. I gave it a good good scrub down and shined it up with armor all and it now looks brand new.

Beer! :D No, wait a minute ... that's how mine got to be so crappy looking. Maybe if you sponge it down after the beer ...

I used Armor All on the tolex of my Marshall JCM2000 to help turn the tolex from a faded grey colour back to black. Just a thought.
If you do this however, make sure to hold her dearly as it makes the head pretty slippery. But, cleans it up quite nicely. :)
