i know wav but theres higher forms of wav i noticed... does anyone have a link or a plugin to the best kind of wav to export your tracks?

wav or aiff are just as good as any. They are uncompressed PCM audio, which means it'll be as good of quality as your going to get on a digital system.

And they should be saved at the same sample rate (ie: 44100) and bit-depth (ie: 16-bit or 24-bit) as they were recorded in.

Danny, I'm not sure I understand. If I did all my tracks in 24 bit, I still have to save them in 16 bit if I want to get them onto a CD, no?

no..that's a job for the dithering process before the burn

No, if you're just backing up or archiving the files, you would just save them to to a data CD-R not as CDA music files to a music CD-R.
