get to record vocals with effects (i.e. reverb, delay, etc.). The keyboard should have an onboard sequencer and sampler. Let's hypothetically assume that money is no object but the user is a relative novice.

thanks.

I have just done a bit of searching and the Motif looks like the board that will do what I want. Does anybody have a better suggestion?

Thanks.

I have a Motif6 the classic version but I have played the ES version after it came out and is much improved. To "me" the sequencer has a bit of a learning curve so I'm not using it yet. But I also have a KORG X3 and a KORG Karma and use those sequencers. Because I'm used to the KORG format. Plus with the KARMA having the same sound engine as the TRITON I have uploaded Classic Triton and Triton LE patches to it with no problems.

If you get the MO and you're not a sequencer GURU, I would advise you to buy the Video as well. I will learn the seq on my MO6, time is the only factor cause I gig with 2 bands.

I'm sure there will be alot more answers for you here.
Cheers,
Ben :)

If money is hypothetically not an issue, why not put together a software based setup. Get a laptop, USB or firewire audio/MIDI interface, and a nice controller keyboard. There are plenty of easy to use software Audio/MIDI sequencers for cheap money, and virtually unlimited software synths and effects (1000's of which won't cost a red cent). An easily portable setup, which could serve as the centerpiece for either studio or stage, and it would all cost about the price of good synth, with more flexibilty, and better expandibility. If you are set on hardware, look at the Triton Studio.

Very pretty looking Synth, guess I'll be making a trip to GC to give it a test run. :)
